Camosun College warns for Low Vacancy Rate in Victoria Student Housing
One of the best things about Camosun College is their location in the beautiful city of Victoria. This, combined with BC economy being the strongest in Canada, makes Victoria a very popular place to live. The drawback is the vacancy rate in student housing in Victoria right now is at a new all-time low. To avoid last minute panic, we wanted to give you a head’s up that Camosun College’s homestay application deadline is July 15. We know many students prefer to wait until they have their visas but given the current housing situation in Victoria, this could be risky!
Please note that students submitting a Camosun housing application are required to pay CAN$ 1,075 non-refundable deposit (this is the administrative fee of CAN$ 225 and the first month’s homestay fee of CAN$ 850). Should the student not attend Camosun College, the first month’s homestay fee will only be refunded if the College is able to place another student in the homestay. Otherwise, the student will forfeit the full amount.
If the Ca,osun College homestay program reaches capacity, they will be referring students to The Canada Homestay Network to help with last-minute placements. We also know that some students prefer private and independent accommodations.

Want to earn academic credits towards a British Columbia (B.C.) High School Graduation Certificate or for transfer to your home country? Students hoping to graduate with a B.C. Graduation Certificate must be prepared to study for at least two years (longer if English language skills require significant development).
Students are enrolled in a variety of academic and non-academic elective courses. We are able to confirm academic course enrollment prior to arrival, for students applying at least three months in advance of program start date.
Fees for the high school programmes 2022 - 2023: CAN$ 13,725 for one semester
