Sprott Shaw Language College's (SSLC) programs combine the academic strengths and unique elements of programs such as Skill Focused (SF) or Skilled Combined (SC) ESL, Test Preparation, and specialized programs (SP) such as Power Speaking, Business English, Pathway Programs, Vacation courses, and Summer Camps. We have over 20 years of experience in teaching English to over 150,000 international ESL students of various age groups.

The SSLC programs are structured so that each student’s study plan can be tailored to meet their needs for learning, for enjoyment, and for experience. When you come to SSLC, we can offer you a full package; from ESL classes for children and juniors, to pathway for post-secondary, to career-training, to student housings and more.
General English: CAN$ 320 per week for 20 hours per week English language classes (more than 11 weeks at a discount)
Power Speaking and Modern Media program CAN$ 1,560 for 4 weeks of Power Speaking and Modern Media + CAN$ 230 materials
IELTS Test Preparation (International English Language Testing System) CAN$ 1,560 for 4 weeks of IELTS Test Preparation + CAN$ 200 materials

Want to earn academic credits towards a British Columbia (B.C.) High School Graduation Certificate or for transfer to your home country? Students hoping to graduate with a B.C. Graduation Certificate must be prepared to study for at least two years (longer if English language skills require significant development).
Students are enrolled in a variety of academic and non-academic elective courses. We are able to confirm academic course enrollment prior to arrival, for students applying at least three months in advance of program start date.
Fees for the high school programmes 2022 - 2023: CAN$ 13,725 for one semester
Fees for the high school programmes 2023 - 2024: CAN$ 27,675 for one year; CAN$ 14,550 for one semester
