Catholic District School Board Ontario Outdoor Education Program

St. Michael Catholic High School in Kemptville, one of the high schools of the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is inviting International Students to their Outdoor Education Program for students in grades 10-12.  Students will engage in Essential, Experiential Environmental Education though outdoor education activities for academic credit. 

Students will have the opportunity to challenge themselves, develop self confidence and explore the Canadian wilderness while developing leadership skills and appreciation for the environment.  This course is taught by qualified Outdoor Education instructors with decades of experience leading students. 

Here are a few of the experiences the students can expect: Canoe Trips; Hiking / Orienteering; (Winter-) Camping; Rock Climbing; Nordic Skiing and Snowshoeing; First Aid  / CPR / AED certification

St. Michael is a high performing academic school that is ranked 45th in the Province of Ontario (out of 750 schools!) and features a complete STEM program including computer science and 3D printing. The school boasts a boys and girls varsity soccer program that operates all year and has competed at the provincial championships 6 times in 10 years plus it has a ski/snowboard club that visits area ski hills on a weekly basis in the winter. Kemptville is located 30 minutes from Canada’s capital, Ottawa and the International Airport.

International Tuition fees at this school district for secondary Schools 2020 - 2021 are
CAN$ 6,850 for one semester or CAN$ 13,700 for one year
CAN$ 4,913 for one semester homestay or CAN$  8,500 for one year homestay
