Zach Wight Hudson College Canada Class of 2016 Alumni
“My parents thought it was unusual, but I became interested in injuries…specifically how athletes get hurt and how to treat injuries,” recalls Hudson College alum Zach Wight.
His curiosity about sports injuries now makes a lot of sense, because he is currently about to graduate from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology—with the intention of pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
Zach also appreciated sports early on at Hudson College (he participated in almost every sport offered and he attributes learning valuable lessons about leadership and teamwork from those experiences). And while he always had a general interest in the biological life sciences, he remembers an “aha” moment at Hudson when his passion for health and medicine was truly sparked.
“At Hudson, it was the first time I was exposed to the natural sciences such as chemistry, biology, and physics and that’s when I decided biology was most enjoyable for me. I was even able to narrow down what kind of biology I was interested in.”
Hudson College is a private, non-denominational, co-educational day school offering a balanced curriculum from Pre-Kindergarten through to University/College entrance. Situated on a 4.5 acre campus in central Toronto, Canada.

Want to earn academic credits towards a British Columbia (B.C.) High School Graduation Certificate or for transfer to your home country? Students hoping to graduate with a B.C. Graduation Certificate must be prepared to study for at least two years (longer if English language skills require significant development).
Students are enrolled in a variety of academic and non-academic elective courses. We are able to confirm academic course enrollment prior to arrival, for students applying at least three months in advance of program start date.
