Academic Camp Canada is an inspiring and challenging academic summer programme for international and Canadian students aged 11 to 17, who love to learn and discover. One of the camps is based in the beautiful oceanfront campus of Brentwood College School on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The school has modern classrooms, excellent sports facilities and boarding, all on one spectacular campus on the Pacific Ocean.

The other camp is in the province of New Brunswick on the East coast of Canada being one of Canada's Atlantic provinces. One of the first provinces in Canada, it is now renowned for it's forested landscape. You will be welcomed to our fantastic woodland campus being Rothesay Netherwood School. The campus gives a traditional Canadian Summer experience.

The third camp is in Ashbury College, in the province of Ontario, it was founded in 1891, and was the first IB World High School in Canada in 1976. The school is bilingual (English and French), and recognized as one of the most internationally diverse schools in the region with over 66 countries represented in our student body.

EXPLORATION CLASSES age 11 to 14
Our Exploration classes will help you in grades 9 and 10. We develop your academic skills and we give you a strong foundation for your future learning. You will explore and discover the full range of academic subject areas including English, mathematics, general science, the arts, social studies and social sciences.

ENGAGEMENT CLASSES age 15 to 17
Our Engagement classes will help you in grades 11 and 12. You are ready to choose the subjects you want to specialise in and you know what you want to focus on. You will learn how to engage in the subjects and develop you critical thinking and become more independent in your learning.
You choose your subjects and we write an individual timetable for you based on your choices

Get ready for Medicine
This is a fantastic and practical three or two weeks programme, tailor-made for students who want to study medicine. It is lead by experienced staff who will share and advice students from their own experience. Engage in our interactive, innovative and immersive three-week medical program at Rothesay Netherwood School in New Brunswick or Ashbury College in Ottawa, Ontario if you are interested in studying medicine.

Get ready for Computer Science
Explore your technology interests in our computer science three-week course in at Brentwood College School in British Columbia or at Ashbury College in Ottawa, Ontario. The innovative course combines theory, experimentation and the technical skills with hands on project-based learning. You will learn about:
+ multimedia production, + programming, + embedded systems, + robotics and web-design.

Leisure programme
Our exciting and vibrant leisure programme will develop students´ leadership skills, support them to become more confident and make friends from all over the world. Students will enjoy cultural visits to Vancouver, Victoria and Ottawa, activities on campus such as paddle boarding, rowing and experiencing something different like whale watching.

The academic programme is offering 30 hours of progressive learning per week in small groups with a maximum size of 15 students. 

Students aged 12 to 14 will explore and discover the full range of academic subject areas including:

Students aged 15 to 18 will follow their own individual timetable that we will create for them based on their choices from 14 different subjects and we write an individual timetable for you based on your choices.

  • Anatomy, physiology and pathology of organ systems
  • Hot topics such as antibiotic resistance, ethics and the law
  • Visits to medical institutions such as hospitals, GPs and research facilities
  • Link to a local medical school in New Brunswick
  • Team work, communication and leadership workshops
  • First aid course leading to a qualification
  • Research project

Get ready for Computer Science students also study mathematics, physics, art and other related subjects to help you prepare fully for computer science. You develop your technical skills, as well as your team-work, communication and confidence with technology.
