Academic Camp Canada, British Columbia and New Brunswick


Academic Camp Canada is an inspiring and challenging academic summer programme for international and Canadian students aged 12 to 18, who love to learn and discover. One of the camps is based in the beautiful oceanfront campus of Brentwood College School on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The school has modern classrooms, excellent sports facilities and boarding, all on one spectacular campus on the Pacific Ocean.

The other camp is in the province of New Brunswick on the East coast of Canada being one of Canada's Atlantic provinces. One of the first provinces in Canada, it is now renowned for it's forested landscape. You will be welcomed to our fantastic woodland campus being Rothesay Netherwood School. The campus gives a traditional Canadian Summer experience.

Our Exploration classes will help you in grades 9 and 10. We develop your academic skills and we give you a strong foundation for your future learning. You will explore and discover the full range of academic subject areas including English, mathematics, general science, the arts, social studies and social sciences.

Our Engagement classes will help you in grades 11 and 12. You are ready to choose the subjects you want to specialise in and you know what you want to focus on. You will learn how to engage in the subjects and develop you critical thinking and become more independent in your learning.
You choose your subjects and we write an individual timetable for you based on your choices

Leisure programme
Our exciting and vibrant leisure programme will develop students´ leadership skills, support them to become more confident and make friends from all over the world. Students will enjoy cultural visits to Vancouver and Victoria, activities on campus such as paddle boarding, rowing and experiencing something different like whale watching.

The academic programme is offering 30 hours of progressive learning per week in small groups with a maximum size of 15 students. 

Students aged 12 to 14 will explore and discover the full range of academic subject areas including:

Students aged 15 to 18 will follow their own individual timetable that we will create for them based on their choices from 14 different subjects and we write an individual timetable for you based on your choices.

We start on Saturday 21st July 2018 and finish on Saturday 11th August 2018 – This is a three week camp though it is possible for students to book two. The closest airport is Vancouver or Victoria
